Together-HR is an HR consultancy business, co-owned by Heather McVicar and Sarah Ramsden. 
 
Together-HR is co-owned by Heather McVicar (PgDip FCIPD) and Sarah Ramsden (BA (Hons) PgDip FCIPD), who first met working at Rolls-Royce plc in 1996. 
 
After two decades spent working in some of the UK's leading STEM companies - including Rolls-Royce, ALSTOM, RS Components, Electrocomponents and Travis Perkins - they decided in 2018 to launch their own HR consultancy business. 
 
Heather and Sarah see the big opportunities STEM companies should focus on to realise their people benefits and thrive as a result. Drawing on their extensive HR experience and a joint passion for the area of diversity and inclusion, they help clients realise the business performance benefits gained from creating dynamic, inclusive workplace environments. 
 
Their determination to change the nature of STEM employment stems from a growing skills shortage, exacerbated by a continuing lack of diversity, not just gender equality and ethnic diversity. Addressing these issues can have a positive long-term effect on a company's financial performance and working environment, ensuring businesses are better equipped to meet long-term performance challenges.

Heather McVicar

Heather is a highly experienced Human Resources strategic leader with three decades’ of experience in a FTSE100 global blue-chip company. Twenty-five of those years were spent in HR and many of those were operating at Board, executive leadership and senior leadership levels.  
 
Heather is an experienced coach, with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and CIPD-qualified (HR’s professional body) to Fellowship level which is testament to her knowledge, skills and experience of the HR field. 
Sarah Ramsden

Sarah holds 20+ years extensive HR experience in the UK’s leading global STEM companies, working with boards and executive teams. Bringing a proven track record in transforming and adapting the people side of the business to achieve high performance and growth. 
 
Sarah’s customer-led approach is future-focused and pragmatic in nature with measurable goals built in. Sarah is an experienced coach with a degree and postgraduate qualification in Human Resources and is a Fellow of the CIPD (HR’s chartered professional body).
